Birth Announcements | Customizable Cards
Our new 2008 line of custom announcement cards is here! These are displayed as birth announcements, but can be customized as baby shower cards, invitations, or thank-you cards, and can be filled in with birth stats, quotes, or any number of possibilities! Ask me about rates and custom design.
I am SO excited to offer these, and I really think they fit with the fun, light, bright style we put forth in our images.
Our first card is a front and back or inside/outside combination, depending on if you’d like a folded or flat card. Boy version is also available:

The next series is one of my personal favorites. Juicy, colorful, and bright, these really put forth the “fruit” of your “labors” (forgive me). Blank spaces are for stats:

You can’t go wrong with argyle and paisely for your wee one:

Stars and Flowers fill these 5×7 cards (empty space for stats and names):

Birds hop among dots in these 5×5 cards:

And country charm meets modern chic in these 5×7’s:

And some general purpose cards that can be used for virtually anything!:

Aren’t they adorable! I want to print these out and send them just for fun, they’re so cute. Each card (except for the first card and the 5×5’s) is a 5×7 flat card. They can be ordered as folded cards with blank insides as well.
Card are sold at a minimum of 50, and in multiples of 25 after that. They come with your choice of linen or plain envelopes. They are a gorgeous way to announce your new addition- or anything you’d like!

Dwell- Favorite Things
I’ve mentioned it in multiple posts so far, so you may be wondering what this “Dwell” thing is all about, and why I babble about it incessantly. Frankly, it is the cutest, most well-made bedding and baby accessories I could ask for, and I am determined to show it off, so that you may share in the obsession (and make me feel better about, haha).

Kills me. Absolutely kills me. They have a Target line for the bargain-inclined, and I own a couple pieces that go in the pink bag for sessions. Check out that link above for a boutique collection (one of many…there are more patterns!), and here for the Target collection:
That catchy link title is all yours truly. I suppose you’ll thank me after you check this stuff out, but your bank account (or significant other) may not. So this is a warning: Mariah M. Is NOT responsible for any bankruptcies or domestic disputes that come of this blog post, and relinquishes all responsibility for the utter cuteness of this line. There. You’ve been warned. ;)

Avery and Preston- Boston Siblings Photography- Mariah M
This post will show you just how hilarious I am while photographing kids (in case any of you failed to believe how absolutely comical I can be!). A and P were naturals for the camera, and I will be posting more for sure! But until then, here’s a sneak peek for their great mama:

Fart jokes always work. Their poor dad was at the receiving end of most of them, haha. I apologize, Dad!

Skipping toward the photographer!

I just love this serious shot of Avery. Perfect look, and I love the flowers around her.

We shot at the ever-beautiful Boston Common. Thanks guys, for a wonderful session!

Flowers and Fisheyes- A Self Portrait
Oh gosh, I know. You read that title and immediately thought “well gee, I’d rather see all the cute kids she’s been shooting..”. I sympathize. Or maybe you thought ‘flowers and fisheyes? what the heck?”
I rented the 15mm Fisheye lens for a Band shoot tomorrow evening (what’s a band shoot without mega wide angle shots?), and I’ve been playing with it for the past couple of days. How could I not sneak a shot in there on Taylor’s shoot with these amazing flowers? I hesitate to post this, but I suppose you deserve to see your photographer all wide-angled, haha.
That’s pure love for the fisheye and flowers right there. Anyway, hang in there ’til tomorrow. I’ll be editing the cutest sibling shoot from the weekend, and I promise a sneak peek!

Finalist- April Contest - Vote!
My image is now a finalist for 411marketsource’s April Contest: “People: Models/Fashion”! Woo-hooo!
I took this last fall, of my sister, in the Queen Anne’s Lace field at Maudslay Estates. Absolutely gorgeous setting, and Meg was a class-act model for me. I put a bit of vintage processing on it, and voila! This really is one of my most favorite shots:

If you would like to vote for this image to win the contest (oh pretty please?), you can go here:
Thanks for your support!
